How to find the RGB/CMYK-Values
of a Colour Tone?

The software ascertains the CMYK- and RGB equivalent for a preset specification for different print situations.

The software also indicates how accurate the match is and where the colour can be found in the included printed atlas.

The accuracy of the colour comparison is further increased with the ingenious interpolation calculation. The experienced lithographer can’t do it any better!

High Accuracy

The result of the calculation is very accurate, which you can review with the included paper atlas.

Reason: The software doesn’t work through ICC-profile, but rather through a databank, which contains the colourimetric measured values of all colour fields from the atlases. This databank is completely harmonised with the input colour and the colour field with the smallest amount of deviation is chosen.

. As a rule this colour field is found by the practiced eye in the visual colour matching in the printed copy.

Even more precision with the Optimum Interpolation

The high accuracy of the programm is further raised by means of a sophisticated calculation.

With the optimum interpolation an appropriate average is calculated from the three closest neighbouring RGB/CMYK colour fields, into which the immediate neighbouring colour flows stronger than the next and so forth. The result is a reliable increase of the correspondence with the output colour.

The optimum calculation is only then available when the input colour falls within the available RGB/CMYK colour space.
